The MONTH OF LOVE!
From day-to-day, stopping to take a minute for yourself is probably on the tippy end of your to-do list.
You will find yourself putting off moments of self-care for later in the week, later in the month, and then finally realizing you have yet to enjoy a new book or listen to your favourite podcast in quite some time.
But even the most successful people — thought leaders, authors, and even our favourite stars — all take time to practice self-care, and they have shared their thoughts on just how important it is to work on yourself. Nearly all of the psychology experts will tell you that, ironically, taking care of yourself is crucial in order to be fully present in other relationships.
But talking yourself into carving time out in your schedule just for you can be hard when you feel like you have a million other things to do. So, this month, especially, be kind and gentle with yourself. Take time-out when you need to! After all, you can’t be of use to anyone if your own cup is empty.

The MONTH FOR COURAGE!
The SEASON FOR TRANSITION AND CHANGE!
JIP! It’s HERE….APRIL has arrived. I can feel it, but mostly I can see it in the air. Autumn, the season of transition and change…rich colourful tones, dappled sunlight and earlier sunsets. Autumn is a time of beauty, of harvesting and of shedding the old. I think it has something important to show us about our careers and callings.
While autumn is a time of productivity, it is also a time of completion and transition.
Autumn reminds us of the importance of letting go. It shows us that within the cycle of life there comes a time to let go and release those things that no longer serve us. Human nature encourages us to hold tightly to things and yet Autumn shows us how to transition and surrender through this process in glorious Technicolor.
All too often we cling to the past, hold our wounds tightly and get fixed and locked down with certain habits or mindsets. All these ultimately cause us more suffering. Life is happier and easier when we can flow, surrender, and let go.
But mindset is everything – if you can surrender to that change, trust the process, believe that the universe is working with you and that everything is happening for a reason then you can see your life differently and accept change in a more comfortable mindset. You can also sit in the knowledge that when the time is right you too will spring back to life and bloom again!
“Transitions in life can offer opportunities for discovery”
Use this beautiful time to discover all the opportunities locked within you!
The SEASON FOR REST
Hope you are well, happy, and healthy!
This week I was feeling a little drained. I suppose I was looking for permission. To do nothing. Stare at a cloud. To withdraw. I just wanted a day, really, to track the light across the table by my kitchen window. Rest is, by no means, idleness, and it is not a waste of time.
This is the darkest, coldest time of year. The trees are bare, reminding us of the stark, bare beauty of things. There is a special stillness in winter. Everything seems dead & frozen, but life is quietly unfolding deep in the darkness.
The ground may be frozen but there’s a freshness in the air, a soft humming in the Earth … deep underground life is stirring.
There is a great stillness this time of year. It’s a time of turning inward. It’s a time of rest. A time when anything is possible, new possibilities are born within us at this time of year.
If you want to change something in your life, now is a good time to work on it. Winter is a time of new beginnings. Soon we will begin to reawaken & we will begin looking forward to the projects & plans we’ll bring to fruition over the growing months to come.
The most valuable thing we can do for the psyche, occasionally, is to let it rest, wander, and live in the changing light of a room.

Today is a HAPPY DAY! O, my goodness – I’m so excited to welcome back Spring!
It’s my favourite time of year – the time when everything that was hidden emerges to reveal its true beauty!
Spring – the time of teeming possibilities – does not happen all at once – it slowly reveals its mantle of leaf, flower, colour, fertility, song, and passion. So, it is for us – our awakening to our true nature doesn’t happen all at once …. we become. It can take a long time. Sometimes we can get stuck in the dark and cold of the winter of our discontent and, sadly, not emerge into the warmth and aliveness of Spring.
Spring beckons us with its emergence, growth, possibilities, beauty, freshness and, particularly, beginnings and newness.
In his final book, Benedictus, one of my favourite poets, John O Donohue, writes insightfully on beginnings:
“Sometimes the greatest challenge is to actually begin; there is something deep in us that conspires to remain within safe boundaries, to stay the same.”
How accurate John is when he speaks of staying in our comfort zone and not daring to step out of that protective box. But what a tragedy ‘to stay the same’, to not emerge like the Spring blossom in all its newness, freshness, and beauty. Seneca, the ancient sage, puts it equally eloquently:
“It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare; it is because we do not dare that they are difficult.”
How is that what is in our nature – daredevil-ness, natural curiosity, love of learning, eagerness to know, adventuresomeness – have become buried under an avalanche of fear, doubt, and uncertainty. What a loss to ourselves, others, and the world when the creative and intelligent vibrancy of our lives becomes dormant – goes into hibernation – but does not awaken in Springtime. Each one of us needs to examine our story and discover what we put away of our true nature, all of which patiently awaits the magic touch of the courage to dare to unlock those endless possibilities. Belief, encouragement, support, compassion, celebration are some of the qualities that warm the hard earth of hidden hurts, fears and doubts. There is an old Irish saying, ‘a good beginning is half the work’ but there is a hidden truth that needs resolution before ‘a good beginning’ can be made and that is that ‘the hardest work is to begin.’ The Socratic call to ‘know yourself’ is as urgent today as it was thousands of years ago. We put too much emphasis on the external world and little on knowing our true selves.
The other aspect of Spring that thrills me is its newness, which reminds me of the uniqueness of the individual. Martin Buber, the wonderful German philosopher writes:
“Every person born into this world represents something new, something that never existed before, something original and unique. It is the duty of every person… to know and consider… that there has never been anyone like him in the world, for if there had been someone like him, there would have been no need for him to be in the world. Every single person is a new thing in this world and is called upon to fulfil his particularity in this world. Every person’s foremost task is the actualization of his unique, unprecedented, and never-recurring potentialities, and not the repetition of something that another, be it even the greatest, has already achieved”.
Let the presence of Spring be the catalyst to saying ‘yes’ to the unique being that is each one of us and let the fertility of each of our never-recurring potentialities shine through for the benefit of all.
What we are is hidden. Time to emerge!
IT IS SPRING AGAIN.
THE EARTH IS LIKE A CHILD THAT KNOWS POEMS BY HEART.

What Kind of Legacy Are You Leaving the World?
It’s not what we leave others that matters; it’s what we leave them that matters most. Possessions and wealth are not a true legacy. It’s about leaving behind the essence of your Authentic Soul.
Have you ever thought about the legacy you’re leaving your family, your community, your world? Most people never give it a second thought. But a legacy is something you’re creating every day, whether you realize it or not.
What exactly is a legacy? Webster’s Dictionary defines “legacy” as “something transmitted by or received from an ancestor or predecessor or from the past.
To start purposefully creating your legacy, think about the following three questions. They will rock you to your core. Answer them honestly to create a legacy that matters and endures.
1) Twenty-five years after my death, what, if anything, will those beyond my family remember me for?
2) If I had to give everything I own to a cause (not a person), what cause would that cause be?
3) If I could snap my fingers and acquire an experience or talent, it would be ___________ because ___________ .
While on the surface these questions may sound simple, when it comes time to answer them, you’ll realise that each question requires much thought. In fact, most people must think about the questions for days before really knowing the answers.
Remember, it’s not what we leave FOR others that matters; it’s what we leave IN them that matters most. Possessions and wealth do not make a true legacy. It’s about leaving behind the essence of your Authentic Soul. That’s what the world needs from you. So, serve others by leaving behind the best and most beautiful parts of you. Today, and every day, create your legacy.
