Mycomax Microfinance Solutions (Pty) Ltd is looking for junior to mid-level Software Developers to form part of a team that leads innovation in its industry. We are looking for junior to mid-level software developers to join our dynamic team in Pretoria.

Here’s where you come in:

You’ll join our cross-functional, innovative team in developing our cloud-based application with your knowledge of C++, Python and Django.
You are keen to take ownership of all aspects of our software development: from architecture to user experience.
You are creative in your approach, curious to the bone and love to share and collaborate with your teammates.
You’re a critical thinker – you use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses, you love investigating alternative approaches and solve problems.

REQUIREMENTS:

It’s not in anyone’s boots to be a software developer, so we need you to have at least the following:

Experience: 2+ years relevant experience.
Education: Something related of course, either a degree or a diploma.
Passion: Are you as excited as we are about innovative software?
Expect to learn diverse and valuable skills through collaborating with, and working alongside, dynamically experienced team members.
Are you ready to be part of a collaborative team of diversely skilled individuals working together to make magic happen?

SOFTWARE SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Mycomax MicroFinance Solutions (Pty) Ltd is looking for a Software Support Specialist in Pretoria to effectively support the Mycomax client base via electronic medium (telephone and remote management) with Software, general accounting, and general PC Inquiries.

Formal Qualifications:

Minimum qualification: Matric/Senior Certificate (NQF 4)
At least one Tertiary Technical IT course or applicable qualification will be an advantage.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years industry and job-related experience in an Inbound Call Centre environment.
Minimum of 1 year IT Support experience.

Understanding:

Advanced knowledge of Software & Internet.
General IT knowledge.
Excellent communication skills in Afrikaans & English.

EDO DEVELOPMENT

The banking industry decided that a new payment system should be developed to provide an acceptable solution to the microfinance industry. Most role players in the industry worked with the SARB-assigned project team to develop the functional specifications for the Early Debit Order System (EDO), including Mycomax.

Following a decision taken by the Bank of Namibia, the Payment Association of Namibia (PAN) in partnership with the banking institutions and suppliers, a new enhanced EFT system has been introduced into the Namibian financial sector. This new national EFT system is called NamPay. Enhanced Debit Order (EnDO) is one of the payment streams making up NamPay.
