Pieter Botha serves as Director of Mycomax MicroFinance Solutions. After graduating as a Cum Laude student from the University of Pretoria (UP) in 1985 in B. Sc Chemical Engineering, his business career was underway. His first business enterprise was as a supplier of computer hardware to corporations. The company was the preferred supplier for UNISA, Vista University, UP and the SABC, to name but a few.  In 1991 he founded Mycomax to focus on software solutions and payment systems.

Pieter is married, has two children and is based in Pretoria.

After I matriculated at the Afrikaanse Hoër Meisieskool in 1989 I attended the University of Pretoria where I studied BA Literature Science. After realising that my field of interest was not necessarily my career path I spent almost two years abroad in Greece, Turkey and Israel. My passion for people and exceptional client service landed me in the Wedding and Events Industry where I was involved for the next 10 years. I studied Sales and Marketing at Damelin and specialised in Marketing. It was the year I finally found my passion!

I joined Mycomax in 2006 as Client Care and Marketing Manager and today I hold the post of Marketing Manager. I love the challenges and results that collide daily as there is never a dull moment! I believe it is one’s own responsibility to create a life that is worth living.

My passions are reading, writing, photography and design.

Since I always had a passion for computers and technology, I studied Computer Science at the University of Pretoria where I completed my BSc (Hons) degree in Computer Science in 2004. I started at Suremax as Junior Programmer in March 2005, from where I was promoted, in time, first to Senior Programming Analyst and finally to my current position as Product Development Manager.  It is my job to oversee the in-house Software Development Life Cycle of Mycomax and to look after our client’s needs on a software level.

My team and I strive to give the most generic and functional software possible.  I love the challenges
that go with software development and the problem solving that is required to achieve the best solutions for our valued customers.

My other passions include rugby (Go Bulls!), fly fishing and computer gaming.

Lydia Badenhorst (de Villiers) was born 19 February 1968 in Ladybrand. She matriculated in Pretoria, Oos-Moot High School in 1985, obtained her Executive Secretary Diploma in 1988 at Technicon Pretoria and HR Diploma 2008 at Varsity College.

She truly believes that achieving your dreams, is the most awesome fuel for the soul! Never before has
she felt so good about life.  With an increased workload and much more responsibility, she strangely feels calmer, more in control.  She is forced on a daily basis to give gratitude for her good health and shared successes.

“I believe the key ingredients for success are happiness, inspiration & motivation. So there you have it.
What you make of your attitude, happiness and life is up to you.”

I completed a diploma in datametrics through the University of South Africa and a course in creative writing through Intec College.  I started working at Mycomax in 1997 as a Software Support Consultant.  Since then my responsibilities included: Training of internal and external clients, Testing software, Programming, Coordinating between Support and Development departments, develop and maintain training material and assisting with business functional specifications and managing client relationships.

Before I worked at Mycomax I worked in the retail and service industries.

My current responsibilities (though not limited to) include managing the implementation of the software from when we receive a call from an interested party up to where support is required.  Having a passion for problem solving and customer service, I find the position as Operations Manager
ideal.  It provides me with a challenge and at the same time I have lots of fun assisting clients and
colleagues alike.
